Oslo Exhibitions

Established in 1910, the Kunstnerforbundet art gallery and exhibition space hosts different exhibitions of various artists regularly. The gallery is situated at the Kjeld Stubs gate and has about 150 artists as shareholders. This privately owned gallery is one of the most recommended exhibition places in Oslo.

Fotogalleriet is the one and only photo gallery in Oslo based on camera art. Founded in the year 1977, the Fotogalleriet is a non-profit organisation established by artists Bjorn Hoyum, Dag Alveng and Tom Sandberg. The gallery strives to promote photography as an art form and arranges seminars, exhibitions, lectures and publications to support it.

Founded in April 2005, the Standard (Oslo) works to endorse contemporary Norwegian artists internationally and introduces international artists to the Norwegian people. The gallery also participates in several art fares like the Art Basel Miami Beach, Frieze Art Fair New York, etc.

Kunstplass Contemporary Art [Oslo] is an art gallery that promotes the contemporary arts of national and international artists. Established in 2012, the premises include two exhibition rooms where events, including art performances, seminars, artist dialogues and film screenings, are organised.

ROM is a venue for holding art exhibitions, film screenings, debates and lectures. The gallery has committed to promoting innovative and experimental Norwegian art. The galley lies close to the river Akerselva on Maridalsveien and regularly arranges conferences, exhibitions, events, installations and lectures to address rising issues in the contemporary art scene.

Design and Architecture Norway (Design og arkitektur Norge/ DOGA) is a venue to hold architectural and design exhibitions, conferences and meetings related to design and art-related subjects. The centre strives to promote and support design and architecture and put them to better use. This place remains open all days of the week.

The TM51 art gallery in Oslo represents and promotes the established and aspiring artists of the region. The gallery opened in 2011 and has three exhibition spaces, namely Grünerløkka in Thorvald Meyers gate 51, TM51 Window Gallery at Fridtjof Nansen plass 6 and the third TM51 Infill at Parkveien 5. These exhibition spaces focus on contemporary art.

Located in the basement of a nineteenth-century building in Sofienberg in Oslo, the exhibition space is committed to promoting art, music and creativity internationally. S9 Galleri opened its doors to the public in September 2009, and since then, it has diligently worked to promote art in Oslo. This place is situated in the charming Grünerløkka district and is a trendy destination in the city to host art-based events and shows.
